(Visual Arts & Contemporary Crafts)
This course is for students who want to develop skills in visual or fine arts and may wish to pursue career opportunities through self employment or work in studios (eg painting, printmaking) or related areas like gallery assistance and art sales.
Students will acquire the basic skills and knowledge in:
- drawing skills to creatively explore a range of techniques and media
- painting skills to creatively explore a range of techniques and media
- colour theory to investigate and create a range of colour compositions to create an effect
- portfolio design and presentation
DURATION
1 year with a possible extension to 2 years if sufficient student numbers

Statement of Competency towards a Certificate II in Visual Arts & Contemporary Crafts – 1 year
Certificate II in Visual Arts & Contemporary Crafts – 2 years
